Due to our ongoing success, we are looking to add a SQL Server Database Developer to our technical team!
What you need for this new position:
– Strong understanding of T-SQL and Stored Procedures, relational database and data
– architecture including experience with queries utilizing complex joins
– Good understanding of Database Theory
– Ability and desire to examine, understand and maintain legacy code
– Strong problem solving skills
– Show initiative, attention to detail
– Ability to work with little to no direction, strong independent worker
– Ability to display creative thinking in generating new systems
– Desire to work in a small team/organization environment
– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
– 2+ years of work experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and Stored Procedures
– Data integration experience a plus (specifically SSIS and/or Pervasive)
– Experience in and/or desire to learn all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle
Main Activities will include:
– Maintaining and updating existing legacy systems
– Creating new systems of tables, views and complex stored procedures as well as learning and maintaining existing ones
– Assist with ad hoc query requests
– Ability to wear a lot of different hats, this includes a willingness to contribute where needed, for example assisting, with direction, in various network administration tasks as required
