We’ve discussed the role predictive modeling plays in predicting what actions your customers may take but it can also be leveraged in the greatest sporting event this nation offers, March Madness!  “The Power Rank” has provided statistical odds on teams in the big dance.  Probabilities are calculated based on college basketball rankings, which result from crunching over 10,000 numbers.  The tourney continues this week with the sweet sixteen.  There were some cinderella stories in the early rounds but teams the analytics like are still the favorites to cut down the nets in the Final Four.  Who said crunching numbers was boring? Following this data could give you a leg up on co-workers in the office pool!  This awesome module is updated as the games continue and once again show the power of algorithms and harnessing BIG DATA!

Will your team win?

Check it out for yourself and enjoy the sweet sixteen! Click here
