2017 Holiday Retail Spending

Retail holiday sales to reach $1.04 to $1.05 trillion between November and January

Consumers plan to spend 51% of their budget online

US retail ecommerce annual sales growth
2015-2016: 14.3%
2016-2017: 16.6%

32% of shoppers plan to start shopping for holiday gifts during the month of December

72.1% of consumers plan to look for gifts on Amazon

88.1% of shoppers plan to spend about the same or more as last year

41% of consumers surveyed completed all or the majority of their holiday shopping online in 2016

48% of customers said free shipping and shipping promotions was a key factor in purchasing from a retailer
