We wanted to let you know that MacKenize is a proud sponsor of the upcoming Girl’s Inc. Y.E.S.S. luncheon. Katie and I have attended this event in the past and were amazed by this organization and the girls who participate.
As a women-owned business we are proud to support this program and Girl’s Inc. in general. The Y.E.S.S. program is for 10 -13 year old girls who have gone through a summer long program which teaching them about starting a business. The luncheon is where the girls actually set up their business and have “customers” come and shop at their stores. Stores include everything from crafts, summer goodies, nail salon, etc. You are given “play money” when you arrive so that you can actually shop at the girls stores. These girls learn all about writing a business plan, hiring employees, advertising and customer service. Overall it is an amazing event and every year I am always so inspired by these young girls.

The lunch is on Thursday, August 8th from 11:30am – 1:30pm.
