We are looking forward to attending the Marketing Research Association’s Annual Conference in San Diego from June 4th – 6th.  They have put together a fantastic line up of speakers covering a wide variety of topics.

Here are a few of the sessions that we are looking forward to attending:

Technology Exchange: What’s Next for Marketing Research?
A panel session of industry thought-leaders will explore “what’s next” for the marketing
research industry in 2012 and beyond. The discussion will expand on many of the
conference highlights, including the impacts of DIY, big data, social media, mobile
and more.lively session!
 
Social Media Research: Blending Traditional and New Research
Methodologies for Maximum Results
Jacqueline Anderson, Director, Product Development for Social Media
and Text Analytics, J.D. Power and Associates
Learn how social media research can be used to augment traditional research
methodologies. Using real client case studies we will walk through specific examples
of how social media can be used in conjunction with existing research programs. Two
case studies will be reviewed including using social to explore concepts uncovered
in focus group research as well as using social to add insight to trended quantitative
tracking studies.
 
 Improving Sales Conversions through Data Integration Methods
Cheryl Harris, Ph.D, Chief Research Officer, Decisive Analytics, LLC
In this case study we will discuss how a data integration model was developed to
determine how best to increase sales conversion rates for a high-traffic website.
The project included data from many sources, including advanced Web analytics,
behavioral data, survey intercepts, and usability data. The challenges associated with
evaluating available software to perform multiple data source analytics, building custom
software solutions, and testing models for performing flexible analytic scenarios will
also be discussed.
